Maternity leave is over! Just four months after welcoming son Isaiah, Carrie Underwood made her first red carpet appearance at the CMT Music Awards June 10.

"I was focusing on him and my mother hood role," the country superstar, married to pro hockey player Mike Fisher, told Us. "There's just a whole other person to think about!" And he's always on her mind. While collecting her 11th CMT award, the 32-year-old, clad in a Thomas Wylde minidress, praised her son: "He has already inspired me."

Now working on a new album near Nashville, Underwood revealed she's been writing about Isaiah. "I didn't want to ... have anything be cheesy," she told USA Today June 10. "It just kind of happened." Her postbaby body took a bit more effort: Thanks to thrice-weekly workouts with trainer Erin Oprea, the strict vegan is back in her prebaby jeans. "She has a clean lifestyle," says a close source. "She's living the life she always dreamed of!"

Nanny to the Stars?

Britney Spears wants to take direction from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

"I'd like to become their nanny," the singer, 33, revealed on a U.K. morning show June 12. "That sounds fun!" (Pitt, 51, and Jolie, 40, have Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, Zahara, 10, Shiloh, 9, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 6.) One challenge of the role: keeping calm around Pitt, who she met at a 2003 event. "I kind of lost my mind," the mom of Preston, 9, and Jayden, 8, said. "I was so uncool.... I got a picture and an autograph!"

Good Grief

A picture of poor taste? Jackie Siegel, ostentatious Queen of Versailles star and wife of a time-share tycoon, snapped pics of her daughter Victoria's casket and posed for selfies before the teen's June 9 funeral. (The 18-year-old was found unresponsive in their Florida mansion June 6.) A family rep defended the 49-year-old's bizarre actions to Us: "People deal with grief differently. . . . I can tell you that she has cried."

Don't Quit Your Day Job!

When it comes to politics, these stars need to concede

Lindsay Lohan

"I'm not afraid of going (to Iraq)," the star, 28, said of wanting to visit U.S. troops in 2006. "My security guard is going to take me to a gun range.... I'm going to start taking shooting lessons."

After declaring his homeland, Canada, "the best country in the world" in 2011, the pop star, 21, admitted, "I'm not sure about (political) parties, but whatever they have in Korea, that's bad."

I always throw a banana in my purse, because I love them!" says the star of Me and Earl and the Dying Girl (out now). "My doctor said, 'You're low on potassium. You need to eat more bananas.'
